Modern Warfare 2 hackers ruined my enjoyment, and game, for that game. No lie. About a week ago, some professional hackers cracked the security codes for the Ps3 system, and then published them online. Almost immediately after that, I realized there were hackers playing MW2 through the PS3. I thought it was no big deal as long as they had their fun. Hacking and cheating can be fun, but I don't do it because it is too damn difficult for me to actually hack a program, and rampant cheating looses its fun rather quickly.
But something weird and very unfortunate happened yesterday.
Yesterday, I log on, and I see this weird message in the middle of my screen. It kept saying, "Unlock All: 10/100,"..."Unlock All 20/100"..."Unlock All: 30/100;" So on and so forth. Well, some hacker unlocked all of my callsigns and kill streaks. Yes, that is right -- Every single one is available for me to use.
No big deal right? I mean, wouldn't it be awesome to have every single accolade available for bragging rights? Hell to the no!
The reason why fuckin' played that game was so that I could challenge myself and unlock my own callsigns and killstreaks. Urgh! What do I do? How do I roll back these things I didn't earn?
I'm furious.
And then, today, every single game had hackers. There were players with infinite ammo, players with infinite jump, invincible players, et cetera. It was simply ridiculous. The hackers were kicking metric tonnes of ass, while the non-cheaters were just running around confused.
You know, I won't buy any DLC, and I won't buy "Black Ops," or even MW3, until this cheating is stopped.
So sad.
