Bits and Pieces XII

I had a really good day today. I accomplished many things.
  • I [finally.....finally] took my learner's permit test at the DMV today. I got all the questions right. I guess I was a bit nervous about the written exam. But I studied the Rules of the Road book and I did really well. All I have to do now is drive, but, prd2bme's car is about to shit the bed, and Chris's car is about to shit the bed. I hope Kevin can be there for me as I practice driving so I can take the road test sometime in the near future. Some good news, however: I do not have to wait 3 months to take the road test. I thought I had to wait 3 months, but that is only the case if I was under the age of 18. I could take the road test tomorrow, but I know I need to improve driving first before I can consider that.
  • After the DMV excursion, I went to Parkland College and ensured that I was still OK for this upcoming Summer semester. My [explative deleted] math class starts June 12. Surprisingly, I am looking forward to it because I will be this much closer to getting the necessary requirements so I can transfer back to a school on the East Coast. I have to pay the bill for that class very soon.
  • Buying and selling stuff on EBAY is rediculously, absolutely fun. I highly suggest it to people who have not done both. It only costs a few dollars to create a seller account on that site, and it only costs a few dollars to create a PayPal account so people can transfer money through EBAY. Once that money is spent, those accounts are permanent. Anyway, late last year I acquired a Sega Saturn. Since I am into RPGs, I've been bidding on those hard-to-find RPGs that are only found on the Saturn. Today I got *GASP* Dragon Force (target opens in new window) and I am happy as a bug in a rug about that. I also got it for a pretty good price, considering it is a "rare" RPG. *shrug* I also got another package from a seller on EBAY. It was the guide for Disgaea (target opens in new window), a tough-as-nails tactical strategy RPG game for the PS2.
  • I had a crazy dream about my cockatiel the other day. For some reason I was in a deep freezer in a meat packing facility, and Julie was on my shoulder. Julie flew off and landed on a cold pipe, nearly froze his little talons off, then landed on my shoulder again so he could warm up his toes. Then I woke up.
