(no subject)
Wells I am packing to move to Wisconsin in two weeks and I'm packing for Chicago next week as well. I sign the lease on my fabulous new apartment on Sunday on my way down to Chicago. I will have a two bedroom, 1 bath, deck, small kitchen, and large living room/dining room. I'm having fun picking things out for my first apartment, choosing colors to decorate with, and buying things like pots and pans! I'm very excited to finally be an adult!
Dear Anne might actually move in with me, she has to discuss it with the folks but I wouldn't mind it. By the way, if anyone ever needs a place to crash on their visits to Madison or Chicago I will be purchasing a couch with a hide a bed for guests! I love company so feel free to come visit anytime!
I found out that the teacher I'm replacing passed away of cancer last year after 28 years of teaching very abruptly. So I have a room plump full of 30 years of pack rat experience and no where to go. I don't even know what belongs to the school and what are her personal belongings. Her family is supposed to come and clean out her things but then whatever is left behind which is going to be an ungodly amount of crap, I have to sort threw, throw, recycle etc. Thank goodness Anne has volunteered to come and help me at least try to find the desk!!!! There are old books, old student projects, and costumes, props, stacked in every corner, shelf, nook and cranny of that room! For some reason, I also have a feeling the family will never show up either because there is an easy one week solid of doing nothing but tossing and cleaning to be done and will I be paid for these services, nope! I'm very excited to have my own room, I always pictured getting a room that was clean and rather empty!
RANDOM CULPRIT - someone between 8am and 11am this morning came to our house and threw dead minnows all over our front lawn and sidewalk by our front door. They are stinky! That's what I get for living by a lake and my father having pulled too many pranks on other people before.
