Stories, isolation, and not

Today's Decameron story is mine "Commando Bats" was written to exorcise my own stroke, but it's meant to be total fluff.

There is a discord for Scintillation (Jo Walton's Montreal con--still not cancelled, huzzah) on which there is a reading room. Yesterday afternoon/evening east coast time a bunch of us experimented with it, reading Shakespeare's Richard II. It went surprisingly well, with only a few tech glitches now and then. It certainly went well enough to sink into the play in readers' theatre mode. (For me, that means running images of stage or screen productions.)

It went well enough that Henry IV Part One is scheduled for next Saturday.

It started off with everyone stating what snack they had at their side. I had a crunched up coffee-almond ice cream bar with dark chocolate melted over it for added chocolateyness.

I've not felt deprived of company all week--plenty of online time, yet It was unexpectedly so nice to hear other voices!
