Today's
Decameron story.
More from the homeschoolers, including how to test if your reading-resistant kid might have a reading disability. (Which schools sometimes don't get around to. Especially with boys. Easier to pop them in time out/detention.)
From Shirebound over at LJ,
A dog and its kitten (or, a kitten and its dog). The video shows the growing up of the cat, which threw me back to 1969, when my brother found an orange kitten abandoned during a rainy January. Brought it home, whereupon the kitten and our English bulldog bonded. The cat (Bend-a-kitty, or Bender) thought like a dog, acted like a dog, ate out of the dog's bowl, and slept on its back like the dog.
Also, I found a pic of Spatz, my kitten--the only time I had a cat. And not for long, as my soon to be spouse was violently allergic. But my roommate, who loved cats, took over with Spatz. The little manx had a good long life. And always loved cuddling.
