Last night I attended the winter concert put on by various choirs in Cal State Long Beach's superlative music program. Lots of really good music, and only two stinkers, which at least were kept short (Jingle Bells, When Santa Comes to Town).

Highlights, for me, were Estampie Natalis, and Tomorrow Will Be My Dancing Day. That particular choir was so good with their polyphonic arrangements (two years ago they did a Gaudete that was a stunner), that I went hunting them up on the net. I didn't find the Gaudete, sadly, but found a piece of music dedicated to the dispossessed, entitled When Thunder Comes. I could only find that piece on YouTube, sadly.
