Catching up
Many thanks for the hat/ear warmer suggestions. I followed suggestions/links, have something on order, and we'll see if it works.
Meanwhile, a frenzy of cleaning. The patio garden is a mess, though it loved the rain. While I was out there beginning, I saw black at the corner of my eye, turned, and there was a hummer eyeing me from near the feeder . . . which was empty.
I swear, that hummer had to be saying with every vestige of its tiny body, You lumbering two-leg, you had ONE JOB . . .
I hastily filled the feeder, and checked through the kitchen window. The gang is back.
