Riding the train is never the same twice. This particular trip, as we traversed the breathtaking scenery of the north end of the continental divide, a cellist who has traveled the world offered to play for those of us hanging out in the observation car. Maybe some but that didn't mean I had to sit there and listen to a lot of people mangle a tune I was sick of back in the fifites, when my head had been full of Bach!

That would be refreshing in the middle of a long train trip. I like the cellist's tone quality, and it was great listening to his improvised riffs beginning to hit the grove in the folk jam.
