This purports to be the journal of Bee, Cat's beloved cousin, who is in love with romance, to Cat's utter disgust. I think that someone unfamiliar with Kate Elliott's Spiritwalker Trilogy (Cold Magic, Cold Fire, and Cold Steel) could enjoy Bee's sprightly summation of the three books and beyond, with Cat's interjections, and generously and magnificently illustrated, but really, I think this is a must for lovers of the books. Every brief mention by Bee brings back vivid memories, and there are bonus "what comes after" hints. It's a beautifully produced chapbook, making me want to read the books all over again. (And wow, was I totally wrong about what the trolls really look like!)
