I agreed to do that extreme rarity, a booksigning. I hoped that all two of you who might show up would buy something at the new Mysterious Galaxy, our new local indie. (No one who shows up has to buy my doorstop of a book--they have not only sf, but romance and mystery on hand.)

Wish I could be there. I'd love to meet you in person. But I don't travel (I think you've travelled more in the past few years than I have in my whole married life!), so I'll just wish you well from the midwest.

I don't think of myself as much of a traveler--in part because I would love to travel more than I actually get to. (Haven't been back to Europe since 1975, alas, alas) but I know these things are relative.
