, jim_hines relays a directive from issendai to the effect that all apostrophes in the middle of fantasy names are now to be pronounced "boing." I have to say that there are a few writers who seem to have linguistic reasoning behind those apostrophes, but you can usually see how to say those. The ones that make no sense no matter how you say them, yet you keep trying because surely the apostrophe serves a function (unless it's there for decoration?), well, since you can't say the name anyway, why not add in a boing? Especially if there are two. So that "w'tch" becomes waboingitch. I laughed until my nose stung when I said that out loud.
