What the fuck, internet?!
I neglect to check c.o and ober.net for...okay, like two months, but still...and while I'm gone Penguin announces that there's a new book before The Sending, and that the release dates for both have been pushed back! Seriously, what are the fucking chances. On the one hand, I'm kinda pissed that they're going to be out a bit later than planned, and that I have to read two books to find out what happens - and knowing IC, they'll be fucking behemoths. On the other hand - two new books (fucking big ones) featuring my all-time favourite clueless heroine and her angry cat, and a definite date this year. And new covers? I may have to get a whole new set, if they're nice. (But not if they're like the Ashling cover with the freaky red moon where Elspeth's wearing that giant necklaceand has a fringe*, because there are no words for how ugly I think that cover is.)
In conclusion: Woot! And grrrr...but mostly woot!
*Though it's never stated one way or the other, I feel that Elspeth's apparent aversion to cutting her hair means she WOULD NOT HAVE A FRINGE, Mr Cover Artist. Also, really long hair with a fringe is a pet hate of mine.
