That is literally the best show synopsis I've ever read lol. I might check this out, if I can download the eps that have aired so far. I was afraid there would be a lot of characters I don't know (like when Agents of Shield came out I watched the first ep, was utterly confused, and never continued).

Ha, thanks. It's cheesy I guess, and the pilot isn't particularly great, but it picks up soon enough once they start becoming a team.

I think you only have to have seen Captain America if you want a point of reference to start watching AoS. Because it sets up Hydra as the supervillain organisation, and there's the supporting character Agent Coulson who then goes on to be the team leader in AoS - all the other characters are new. If you do decide to give it a go, it's pretty average until three quarters through the first season when the super bland stereotypical white guy hero guy on the team is revealed to be a psychotic Hydra agent and then it gets really, really good.

I don't think I'd seen any of the Marvel movies (except maybe the first Avengers) back then, although I have now. Isn't Coulson dead? I thought he was killed in the Avengers movie? Is he magically undead? I really liked him.

Yes he 'died' in the movie but fans loved him and so he turned up as the main character in this new series, and along the way it is revealed that they used alien tech to bring him back and the entire experience was really horrific and he'd begged them over and over to kill him - the show is quite dark once it got good, agents get injured and killed and have ptsd and have to actually recuperate from injuries.

I love Legends of Tomorrow. I started watching mostly because of Sara Lance (my absolute fav ♥), and I've been really happy with the way they've been handling her character. Much better than Arrow did, I must say. I love that she's a main part of the team and has had so many wonderful things to do and exploration of her character.

But I like the entire ensemble, a dysfunctional bunch as they are trying to work together and things end up going awry; it's a found family that I like, honestly. Aside from Sara, my other favorites include Leonard (his deadpan snark drawl is A+) and Rip Hunter (because Arthur Darvill is incredibly attractive in this role, I'm not gonna lie). I love when all three characters end up sharing scenes with each other, since they have great chemistry. I think the only character I don't necessarily like is Ray, since I have no attachment to him and he does nothing for me.

I love his drawl!!!

Sara is AWESOME. Great fight scenes (I am normally bored by fight scenes) but she's a pleasure to watch, and I love her period costumes (ha the hated go go boots).

i love the snark between Leonard and Ray (can see why there's fic for them.

my least fave so far is Rip because of all the lying and manipulating, but he's getting better as they've called him on it and he's acknowledged he shouldn't have and is trying to be more about the team.

I love the fight scenes with Sara because Caity Lotz actually does her own stunts, which she did on Arrow too but she often wore the mask so we couldn't always be sure. Here, however, we're able to visibly see her actually doing most, if not all, of the fighting and it's glorious to watch. Plus, I like that she's able to have input about her character, most notably acknowledging her bisexuality. I just love her so much and even if through unfortunate circumstances, I love the progression and growth of her character. ♥

I think that's why I like Rip, not necessarily for the lying and manipulation, but because it shows that he is also human and has demons and flaws, and plus he does get called out on it by the others which does knock sense into him. He is just another one of the dysfunctional member of the team, but has come a long way and I just like that about him, tbh. Never mind that Arthur is brilliant in the role and I'm very happy for him. :)

I did know that she does her own stunts - wasn't she a stunt person before this? I haven't seen most of s3 Arrow yet (don't care about spoilers)

I love that Arthur looks like he's having so much fun :)
