Angels
I am very sad. One of my favorite modern plays was made into an HBO 2-parter starring Meryl Strep and Al Pacino, and I missed it completely. Angels in America by Tony Kushner was one of those incredible pieces that just struck a chord.
Saw it for the first time at Michigan State actually. We were one of the first non-professional companies to get a chance to perform it. I have to say it was one of the finer performances that I saw Joyce put together. No, make that the best, hands down.
I'm very much hoping it comes out on DVD fairly quickly, so I can rent it or buy it. Al Pacino as Roy Cohn... Damn...
