Thanks! And the details are 70% personal experience and 30% WebMD. :P I don't have full-blown lupus yet, but it's been close enough for discomfort.

That is why I said I don't know how you did it. I had this vague recollection of reading somewhere where you wrote something about having lupus, so being able to share this is pretty amazing.

I really enjoyed reading this. My mom has lupus (it screwed with her diaphragm, not her kidneys, though) and it's interesting to see it in a fanfiction -it's not a disease that usually gets a lot of attention. You captured Dean's aches really well, and your descriptions of how Lisa soothed them were perfect. It was awesome to see Sam caring for him, too. I also liked how you tied this into "Faith," offering a bit of hope at the end. Overall, very well done!
