Myself, I don't think I would have found it excessively traumatic even without warning. It is a shift for Sasuke, but realistically, he's only managed not to kill anyone yet because they keep dying in his general direction first. Or, in Killerbee's case, because he got tricked.
The attitude itself didn't seem too quick. Especially considering how he greeted Madara the last time he saw him, buuut I agree that the big scary looking aura sort of seemed random. XD
Yeeeah, I actually thought of that. In a very vague way, they reminded me of the Foot in the old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon from when I was a kid--the ones that were robots, so they could kill as many of them as they wanted without guilt. These were human, presumably, but they still have a look that's not looking for any sympathy.

It's getting a bit darker, but really? It's still 12 year old appropriate as far as I can see.
Sometimes, I'm grateful for that XD
It just seemed terribly sudden to me. Sasuke goes 'I'm really pissed' and then DARK AURA. =/
Anyway, I love reading your reactions to the chapter because I find it gives me that necessary rational third opinion XD
