Movie Meme
I had a bizarre urge to do a movie meme. Probably because I have strange taste in movies, and want to see if I can start my friends telling me about their strange taste in movies. So. Tell me!
1) What was the last movie you watched?

5) Movie you watch every time you get sick?
6) Favorite bad movie ever? That's right, I don't really want to know about the great, amazing, artistic and cinematic masterpieces you love. Guilty pleasures all the way.
1) What was the last movie you watched?
Scream 2 -- Don't judge me. I couldn't sleep and it was on TV.
2) Favorite animated movie?
The Last Unicorn, probably. It's hard to say exactly, but that's probably the one I'd go with for movies even still.
3) Movie everyone else loves but you hate?
Forrest Gump. Oh, there are others, but this one wins no contest for just consistently pissing me the hell off. What moral are we supposed to get out of this? That the best way to go through life is stupid and lacking all sense of greater social importance and self-reflection? That it's fun to turn people who are less mentally/emotionally able into flat, perfect characters who float through history, meeting and doing everything that everyone else from their generation would want to? That being smarter, being counter-culture, or just being dissatisfied with your circumstances will probably lead you to being a miserable person? Or maybe just that the stronger your Southern accent is, the stupider your character will be?
Oh, yeah, that box of chocolates thing. You know, just for making me listen to people fake an awful accent and repeat the catch phrase ad nauseum while I was in middle school.
4) Movie everyone else hates but you love?
Ravenous. I realize only like four people in this world actually like this movie. I don't care. I like it. I like the sense of humor. I like the gore. I like the strangeness. I like the weird homoerotic tension. I like that it's essentially a good vampire movie, only with cannibals instead of vampires. I even like the weird, banjo heavy soundtrack. Okay, I can't defend every single thing about this movie, but I still think it's vastly underrated.
5) Movie you watch every time you get sick?
...The Secret of NIMH. Yes, really. Yes, I'm in my twenties. I don't care. It always makes me feel better. Even if I secretly believe Justin is part of some kind of a plot (along with Disney's Robin Hood) to turn children into furries.
6) Favorite bad movie ever?
Originally, I was going to say favorite movie, in general, but that was stupid for a couple of reasons. First... honestly, I'm more interested in the things we're ashamed to admit liking than people getting into how good their taste is. Second, I don't even really have a favorite movie. I have movies that I like for various reasons, ranging from respecting some really interesting things going on, to, oh, say the pure giddy pleasure of watching Milla Jovovich kill zombies. And I'm much more interested in getting my friends to admit that they secretly love Red Sonja or A Knight's Tale or worse. I know my friends have good taste,
What's the worst thing you absolutely love?
For me. I have to say... Wizards. And you know, I'll be surprised if anyone even knows that one. Yes, it doesn't make sense. Yes, it's some weird, low budget animation thing that waxes more than a little preachy, has objectifying and sexist treatment of women, and oh yeah, mutant Nazis.
I don't care. It's weird, and loud, and I love it like an ugly pet.
