Timing Belt Update

So the car is running pretty well, except today there was a LOT of belt squeal, so I had a look and the alternator belt had worked its way loose. I tightened it, no big deal, though if it does it again I need to get under the car and make sure the mounting bolt is OK. Went to check the other belts...

Funny story, a couple of the guys advising me during this project were concerned I wasn't strong enough to tighten down everything. Well, looks like I put the AC compressor belt on WAY too tight and it snapped. The thing was GONE.

Else perhaps the singularity that was eating my power steering pump tensioner bolts ( see previous post) behind the alternator mount ate it, could happen. Seems about as likely as that belt breaking.

Not a huge deal, just means I don't have Air conditioning, but of course it's the belt I have to take two others off to replace. *annoyed* At least I know how to do it now.

Guh. Next week: Tabs. Argh.
