Basking in virtual self-sufficiency and century-old luxury. Mike & I made a big batch of blackberry jam from berries we'd picked off the property-the blackberry bushes own 3/4 of the property despite the 4 goats, though they keep them from taking over the rest.
We're sitting here enjoying the still-warm jam on Mike's homemade bread and tea. We've got a documentary about Britain's emotional state playing on the flat screen off of the Micro ITX (Ubuntu, of course).
Laundry drying on the line by the porch, and we're using the microwave as a breadbox. Last weekend Mike was reading his nook by the light of a kerosene lamp.
It's like a 1930s farm with internet.
