Ah. Well, that was a good con.
Friday we arrived early evening, dinner and a much-craved hambuger from the hotel restaurant, on to party, Dragondyne & Timbuk's rooms, My partner disappeared around 11, poor creature. I was seriously stressing about other things, and found pleasant distraction among freinds, I sampled various beverages and ... Lots of convo', don't remember much of it, good times, I think I flogged Dragonfly's brother. Art had the best stories. I retired around 3:00AM, Mike & I were up talking for ages afterward. Teeny bit of sleep.
Saturday morning breakfast courtesy of The Amazing Stanley, and thanks a million for the ride to capital hill.
I'm embarrassed to say I only attened one panel, well, two if you count opening ceremonies. Alien Anatomy or some such. There were more panelists than spectators, two of them were psychic artists, and one was a paleontologist...guess who's brain I wanted to pick the most? It was more than worth my time.
Had a meeting on Saturday, so was gone for most of the afternoon; I think it went really well, though. I'm looking forward to this project.

Hit the beastie to change into something more con-like, and were shanghaied for dinner by Kate & Drew. I was in fine, if likely offensive, form, though no more than expected, methinks. Very good points made by Kate regarding Science-minded people who are also religious... Actually helps me understand my Dad a little better, strangely enough.
On to mingling and such, Hooked up with Sue in Ross & Cajun's room and began an evening of sampling everything alcoholic I saw that wasn't familiar with, a few things I was, some unrepeatably evil conversation, getting dragged into harassing the biggest guy in the room with three more of the vaginally endowed of all things gender related. Gestures were appreciated. Watching Porn at Pete's, and throwing in Star Wars quotes. "That's not much bigger than two meters." "A little short for a strom trooper?" Etc. Rad.
Freinds! It was wonderful to see so many of my friends again! Just because, here I'll pull from the abused depths of my brain...
