Cereal Killing for Gorilla warfare: Food rant

No, really, I love this stuff. Look at the ingredients for chrissake:
Organic corn meal, organic evaporated cane juice, sea salt.

I shouldn't pick on Kix, it's probably one of the better cereals out there, it's just the closest equivalent I know of to Gorilla Munch; Kix are not quite as as sweet, but have the same shape and crunchiness: corn meal, whole grain oats (included the oat bran), sugar, corn starch, canola oil, corn syrup, salt, calcium carbonate, modified corn starch, trisodium phosphate, wheat starch, vitamin E (mixed topopherols) added to retain freshness. Vitamins and minerals: iron and zinc (mineral nutrients), vitamin C (sodium ascorbate), a B vitamin (niacinamide), vitamin B6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride), vitamin B2 (riboflavin), vitamin B1 (thiamin mononitrate), vitamin A (palmitate), a B vitamin (folic acid), vitamin B12, vitamin D.

HOLY CRAP! Why is all that shit in there? I'm not an organic nazi, I eat SPAM, but why do food manufacturers make it so hard on themselves? If you wanted to make something, would you want to be using three ingedients or 13+?

Was there a contest? Was there a sale on trisodium phosphate?

Out of the series I like Cheetah Chomps the best, though they're hard to find; perhaps because they're made from real cheetahs?

Why the hell is it so hard to make food? What's with the additives? Hell, I have to read the War and Peace equivalent of labels to find a beverage that doesn't contain corn syrup! WHY? What's wrong with SUGAR? Honey? Molasses? Ok, I don't know if I could handle drinking molasses, but you get my drift. If I want my beverages to taste like Kool-aid, GUESS WHAT I'LL BUY?!
Cane Sugar has a mere 16 calories a teaspoon, and take it easy on the stuff. Damnit, I have to hunt for REGULAR water anymore. Gatorade is Loooaded with sodium, which makes me feel like crap, will someone make a fookin' sports drink that might be, say: GOOD for me? No HFCS, no sodium; I want water, maybe a couple of vitamins, and perhaps just a little food in there to keep me going.

I suppose beer IS the answer.
