Where the hell did the weekend go?!
Friday? drove Bev & Mercy around to various appointments, came back here to start figuring out design for a site I've yet to get much content information for. Good fun.
Saturday we worked, later that afternoon we headed out to Chief's for what WAS going to be people watching, but the rain had everyone inside for most of the time.
We swung by the old place to see the RV they'd replaced ours with: Holy crap that thing is HUGE! 70s era monstrosity with the pointy front end, not as much moss as I was hoping for, but Mike and I still had a good evil laugh over the whole thing.
We enjoyed spaghetti with Chief's awesome sauce and cookies; the guys watched Rockford files, I showed Albert's kids what smoke bubbles were.
I picked up a job from a friend while I was there, looks like I get to build my first political campaign site. Yeehaw. After seeing what's out there, I figure they'll vote for the guy just because this thing is easy on the eyes, unlike the competition.
Got home to watch the latest Doctor Who: Fookin' SCARY! Mike was looking for a couch to hide behind, and even I got a few twinges.
I can't wait for next week's episode: John Barrowman/Jack Harkness and whoever plays Cadfael.
Today went for a good long walk with Mike, Charlie, Mercy and the goats. Mercy was in hysterics for no apparent reason, as she was last time we went out that way. I have NO idea what sets this off, not a chance in hell of seeing any wildlife with that going on. I'll have to figure out what'll keep her from coming unhinged when we get more than half a mile from the house so everyone can actually enjoy these walks, she needs the excersize, we all do, but she was on everyone's last nerve.
In the words of Sam Kinnison: I don't condone child abuse; but I UNDERSTAND it!
I went tromping into the bushes(there was a deer trail) to check out the edge of the pond at one point, and the little LaMancha followed me. As soon as she realized the brush was over her head and she couldn't see me, she starts crying frantically. I turned around, picked her up and carried her the eight feet back to the road. Awwww. She went right back to sampling whatever happened to be in front of her, including the bow on Mercy's shirt.
Charlie made some fantastic curry and was kind enough to share. We watched mythbusters for a bit, I got back to work for awhile and here we are.
'Tis the time of year for clients I'm expecting to hear from to start dropping off the planet again.
