I think I ran into this guy at Neighbors. August comes again, no bidnez. So I work on redesigns, updates, and marketing for Mike's project.
Too bloody hot. Finally talked
Joelacious into a boat trip; spent a few glorious hours lounging and swimming in Long Lake with Mike, Joel, and his friend Erin. We put the weiner dog's life jacket on so she could swim with little effort, but she just sat there looking annoyed.
Afterward we were then treated to BBQ at Alan & Cindy's, where Joel parks his boat. Those people are the epitome of hospitality, we didn't even tell them we were coming.
Secret to staying comfortable in this weather: Wet cotton T-shirt. Seriously. Though I'll warn you, it's better to get wet while wearing the shirt than putting a wet one ON, while not impossible, it IS torture.
No, the shirt is not white and I'm not traumatizing the locals with my chest-height glass cutters.
Ahhh. Like boat. Water Gooood. Note to self: Bring beer next time, not the same without beer.

Yesterday we went to Chief's for dinner & a couple movies. Miyazaki's Porko Rosso; which was a lot less bizarre than his other stuff-though still endowed with weirdness; fun and with the usual awesome animation.
Max with John Cusack: Holy crap, an amazing and well-executed concept; art meets fascism in 1918, I had questions, but it seemed well-researched. Worth a watch.
Tomorrow we replace the fridge's cooling unit. Not looking forward to the project, but am looking forward to no more fridge tsunamis from melting ice, and having chicken again! And Milk that doesn't go bad in three days! And MEAT! And Frozen stuff! Yay!
Wish us luck.
