Here's an article with the relevant facts/PJ quotes in it. Richard Armitage is also confirmed. XD

They've managed to work around the schedule, so I hear. Such exciting news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, the moment I read this here I was reminded about why I should check out more regularly the news page belonging to the LotR message board that's been kind of my living room on the net for past ten years. *g* It's kind of crazy that I read this here first and then had to go back there and check. ;)

:D It is rather crazy but it makes me happy that at least someone on my flist hadn't heard of the news before I posted it. And that someone happened to be a LOTR just made it all the better. =p

:p I've given up following news and discussions on the Hobbit. It's been too depressing until recently, and no progress was ever made... It's almost too good to believe that it will yet come to pass!

It is, with all the squabbling and director changing and the possibly that they might not film it in NZ. =( I loved you NZ, how could you?

Well, seeing that the south of England looks a lot like the Hobbingen we know and that that's how Tolkien imagined it, I don't see that as a big problem. :) And as long as it gets done at all…

Well, perhaps Hobbitton has its UK equivalent but not, I think, the epic mountains. The NZ ones are just so awe-inspiring.

As you say, as long as they make it... :D
