[RP] Like a sentence of death, I've got no options left. I've got nothing to show now.

In that all-too familiar setting that has completely dominated the greater part of this game (we're sorry about that), Sark has gotten desperate... Actually, desperate came four hours ago, but that's assuming he even still has a concept of time anymore, considering the situation. It's hard to keep track of anything when you have a metal skewer jammed in your chest and a deadline to meet if you want to keep breathing, but there's a definite sense of time ticking down anyway, and that's never good for stress levels. No one wants to wait out their own execution, especially when they have the option of preventing it if they can just prove their worth. If Thane's intent was to break him down so thoroughly, he'd be shattered before the deadline was up, he's well on his way to claiming that objective as successful, because between the pain and the deep-rooted desire not to die, Sark is grasping at straws just to survive this ordeal and it's taking all the willpower he has not to completely crack under the pressure.

And the only thing he has is something that's not going to curry him any favor with anyone when he gets out (if he gets out), and somehow he doesn't give a damn at this point. He never claimed to anyone that he wasn't a rat and he'd rather be a living rat than a dead dog. The fact that he lasted as long as he did in this position without even considering that as an option means he gave Torchwood more loyalty than they really deserved from him, but desperate times call for desperate measures and now it's time to stop playing the nice guy.

April, to the best of his knowledge, never left his side, which somehow makes him feel slightly worse about his choices, because God knows he doesn't deserve her love in general, least of all right now. As far as he knows, she's sleeping and he'll just have to apologize to her for this later.. It says a lot about him when that's the only part of this whole decision that makes him feel even the slightest bit bad- the fact that it might break her heart. What's more unsettling is that there's a chance it might not. He's naturally amoral- he doesn't need her to condone his selfish decisions out of love for him or whatever this might be.

So all that's left to do now is wait for Thane to come back so he can make his offer. He's awake, but that's only because he didn't sleep at all, and as much as he'd love to try to look a little less like something on its last legs, it's not really working as well as he'd like. He's tired, he's in pain, and he just wants out of this situation as soon as possible, and all of that is clearly evident.
