I... feel kinda bad that this is going to come around and so thoroughly bite him in the face. But. Then again, if he needs a crisis point to figure his shit out....

I do too. And yeah, he does... Badly. He is not a functional human being by any means, and I doubt it's going to make him more functional, but it's going to shove in his face that, "Yes, this is what you do to people. This is how bad it feels. This is what it's like to actually lose something and have it all be your fault." It's something he needs to learn and Sark's one of those people who has to learn the hard way, because... He's been programmed NOT to think in those terms and you have to pretty much utterly break him again to make him stop thinking in those terms.
....That totally made sense. I think. I'm trying to write this while simultaneously staring at my clock to make sure I don't let the time get away from me like I do.

Sometimes you really do just have to shatter people to get them put back together right again. That was a big theme of Damaged People, actually. And, uh... hi, Jack.
Here's hoping to put 'em all back together again...

That's the good thing about Sark, he's had this happen so many times that he can generally put himself back together, but April coming back is probably the only thing that will really fix him. Yay second chances on how not to be a fuck up! Since, you know, most people don't get that.
