First, the question. Oddly enough? Sark counts loyalty as the best thing anyone could give him as a friend. The reason his loyalties are so flexible is because he doesn't trust people enough not to abandon him and until someone proves they won't leave him, then he can't trust fully... And it's hard to get to that point with him, since most people don't give their full loyalty to someone who doesn't give theirs back. Basically, if you stick with him, even when he's done something terrible or don't abandon him when the going gets tough... He'll usually consider you a friend, because he's not used to people doing that much for him.

(The only exception to this rule is Irina, but Irina is just... Complicated. And she's not a friend.)

I decided to play him, because I wanted a villain in the Rift and the game had just started shortly after I'd finished watching EVERY EPISODE OF ALIAS EVER. Oddly enough, he wasn't the co-frontrunner of my headspace then and he was a bitch to get to do anything. It wasn't until after he met April and switched sides that he started to develop and I started falling more in love with him as a character and he just sort of took over and the rest is history.

In canon? Probably either the interrogation scene in Rendezvous or the scene with Cole in After Six. The former for purely frivolous reasons and the latter because I have analyzed that scene so deeply that it should frighten anyone. (No, seriously. And I get PROTECTIVE of that scene if people say they hate it or that it makes no sense, which people do. XD) In the Rift, I'd say the ENTIRE tree thread and any of his threads with Suzie and April.. And Sydney, too, especially the BYRON IN MANDARIN thread during Shotgun Apocalypse.

I HAVE SO MUCH HEADCANON. XD Um... I really like the fact that his biggest fear is dying, because it explains so much about his actions in canon. He doesn't want to die, because he doesn't want to come to the realization that his life was insignificant and that he never mattered and that he's likely to be forgotten and it's SO SAD and I love it so much.

Sark did a minor job for Jack Bristow. It was just a small thing really- go threaten some people who were doing some dirty business and tell them if they didn't clear out that Bristow would deal with them and kinda below his station because they were just petty crooks who had the potential to expand, but he's GOOD at things like that and it gave him a purpose again, so he appreciates having that distraction.

I have NO IDEA what his last words would be, because every time I think about it, he just sort of freaks out. I think it would greatly depend on who was there, but if he was alone, save for his killer, he probably would try to say something snarky, depending on the situation, otherwise he'd probably be very flaily.

Um... At some point he and Rachel are going to have merry adventures in Grant Park! :D And sometime after that, he's going to get caught by the Org and roughed up a bit by Katja and then have merry sewer adventures with Jack Harkness. And possibly get abducted by unicorns. And, um... He'll probably spar with Sydney a bit. AND MAYBE ONE DAY, I'LL DROP HIM IN THE LAKE. Basically, I have a lot of plans for him. XD

Um. I'm looking forward to Sark and Rachel interacting more. :D And he should meet Peter just because he hasn't had enough of people mistaking him for Adam yet and Peter would weird him out so much. And, honestly, playing him against any of your characters would be awesome, because I love your people. *noms you* <3

The loyalty thing makes all the sense. Knowing his own are so flexible in turn makes him both so mistrusting in the fidelity of others, and uniquely prepared to recognize when another's loyalty goes above and beyond the norm. Of course, the big glaring drawback is that he's sort of set himself up for failure, because you're right that people aren't going to be willing to be loyal to someone who isn't loyal in return.

Byron in Mandarin was awesome, and Sark's interactions with April and Suzie are made of even more awesome. You know I'm a fan of that tree post. (And you know Rachel will not let him live that down, when the day comes that they are stranded together in the dark. Poor Mr. Sark.) Rendezvous was probably my favorite episode EVER.

Fear of death does make a lot of his actions and motivations clearer. It makes sense as something that was underlying so much of what he did and said.

I too cannot wait for Sark and Rachel to interact more. The darkness plot will be amazing--like I was saying before, they'll both come out of it with a greater understanding of one another. Whether that understanding leads to them being BFFs or spitting at the mere mention of the other remains to be seen. :D Rachel may surprise him by being one of those people who'd be loyal even in the face of shifting loyalties from another party, because she's kinda made a career of that.

Sark and Peter would be hilarious, too. They could be dropped in the lake together! I do so love Peter being dropped in the lake...

And thank you. I know it goes without saying (BUT I'LL SAY IT AGAIN ANYWAY) that I love playing with you, and hanging out with you in chat. I am so glad you helped talk me into joining the game. :)

Hee. I'm so happy when people agree with my headcanon. <3 For all that Sark is one of my favorite characters to play and one of my primary headvoices, I do get a little flaily about him. He's a complicated boy with no real canon backstory or detailed motivations and I really had to build him from the ground up, while still staying true to him.

And aww Rachel! Yeah, considering he's a bit wary about getting close to people now that the one person he was closest to is dead, she'll have to work to get him to like her, but that would help a lot. Poor baby just expects that everyone's going to leave him one of these days. *pets him* *ignores the general protests*

XD SARK WOULD BE SO UNNERVED WITH HIM. He'd want to give him to Vaughn. "I found someone who is even more of an insufferable boy scout than you. Do something with him."

<333 I'M SO HAPPY WE TEMPTED YOU WITH SILENT HILL AND STUFF. I love playing and talking to you too. *headbutt of looove*

I think you do an excellent job staying true to him despite all the things you had to come up with on your own. I haven't seen you take a step with him that made me think "Now that's something he'd never do."

Yeeeah. Rachel's kind of the queen of "you may not care, but I LOFF YOU ANYWAY SO THERE." LOL

That would amuse me to no end. Poor Peter.

It really was the Silent Hill monster that finally drew me in. I'm serious, whatever that conversation was, I remember I was IMing with Mara (Daniel/Jefferson's player) and when I got that comment, I was all, "...a pyramid-headed Silent Hill monster says I have to join. I kinda think that's it, don't you?" It was well and truly awesome.

*headbuuuuuuuutttts* :D

Awww. Yay! :D

I mean. I was leaning toward it anyway, I was just taking some time to get over myself and get over the fear of joining another RP. But you can't really say no to a pyramid head. LOL

*drags my face all over you, marking you like a cat*
