Warning Policy

Jan 01, 2019 00:00

I do my best to warn for any common triggers in my fic.

Basic warnings are posted in headers, with the option to skip past, and require highlighting. Link to my Content Notice Laundry List follows, where more detailed information is provided, if necessary.

I give advance notice in headers for the following things:

Non-Con
Dub-Con
Incest
Graphic Violence
Mental and Physical Abuse
Suicide
Mental Illness
Onscreen Major Character Death
Bondage
D/s
Kinks

Please let me know if anything is missing.

Most of the time, there will be a link to more information. If you have a specific question regarding a specific story, please feel free to contact me at sarka@gmail.com, or leave a comment on this post. If you feel that I've not given proper advance notice of something that might constitute a reasonably common trigger, please don't hesitate to let me know and I'll amend the information given ASAP.

THINGS I DO NOT WARN FOR.

Where I was born and raised, age of consent is fifteen. Therefore, my definition of "underage sex" is somewhat at odds with the one held by general fandom. I do try my best not to squick people, and usually the information in the header will be enough for a reader to discern when the story is taking place, and I always list pairings. If the pairing tag says "Chekov/McCoy", I don't feel that I need to give advance notice of the fact that there is some age difference between them: the reader is assumed to know that.

Also, I generally don't list incest as a content notice if the pairing listed is, say, Sam Winchester/Dean Winchester. Obvious warning is obvious, yo.

In short, I want to do my best to be thorough, but please refer to common sense when it comes to reading the story information; I don't feel it necessary to elaborate on the obvious in the content notices.

Thanks!
