Thoughts Upon Exiting the Elevator at Work
*Why did I think that guy I almost ran into was Steve Carell?
*Why - in the split second between thinking I recognized him and thinking he was Steve Carell - was my first instinct to smile and say "hi!" like I knew him? I don't know Steve Carell!
I wonder if celebrities routinely have people who don't quite recognize them but *know* them from some place just randomly say hi like old friends.
Did that make any sense?
