I just thought of something that seemed incredibly funny to me, but I know it's really just bad. And not even groan bad, just stupid.
My boss said "it's late." And then I went to check to reserve item slips (the computer system is down right now, so we just write up a slip when we give out a reserve item and tear it up when we get it back).
"All the reserve items are back, good."
"It's 11 o'clock. Do you know where your reserve items are?"
