father's day stuff? (movies!)
well.. i'm hanging at home. it is father's day. dad's playing tennis with gina. i made a cake this morning. i have cake issues. all cakes seem to hate me. first the pan did not want to release it.. and then some pieces were trying to separate from the large mass of cake. so i put them back with icing as glue. then i tried to write on it with pink icing (we got my dad a pink shirt, he can deal with the color!). so we had no plastic bags, so i was using saran wrap... there's a big glob of pink on the cake cause it burst through... oops? well dad liked it anyway. and i had leftover veal and garlic potatoes for lunch. mmmm!
but speaking of all that food...
the diet starts tomorrow! mom and i are slimfasting for breakfast and lunch. there will also be walks/jogs/something in the evenings. we've got less than 2 weeks before we go to fla.
today i watched "cursed" starring christina ricci. i liked it. there were some other people it in. it was a little campy in that "scream" kind of way. it was kevin williamson and wes craven. comes out tuesday for anyone whose into that! :)
so now i REALLY wanna see "Prozac Nation" also starring Christina Ricci. it comes out july 5th. so i'll be out of town before it's officially released, and i don't think i'm allowed to get the NEW releases until they're 2 weeks old or something. so i'll get to see it sometime...
i'm gonna watch "the jacket." Psychological thriller with keira knightley in it. she's got a really funny spelling... also comes out Tuesday. i like having advanced movie knowledge! :)
i need to drop in there sometime before the end of the day to get swap out my movies. or just return them... but i'll probably swap them.
i feel like there was something i really wanted to see...
