Seriously, America?
Look, I have nothing against Kris Allen. He's a pleasant enough looking guy, and a pleasant singer. But that's all he is - pleasant. (The one exception being "Heartless" a few weeks ago, which he totally rocked.) He has a nice voice.
And that's it.
Adam is a superstar. Whether you love him or hate him, you can't deny the guy has talent seeping out of his pores. I haven't always agreed with his song choices or arrangements (One, anyone?) but I've never thought he wasn't the most talented guy ever to grace the AI stage.
So what the fuck, America?
In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter for Adam's career - he will be fine. But I think it says a lot about America. Way to pick the safe choice. Looks like you've got another Jordin fucking Sparks on your hands. Or Ruben Studdard. And look how great their careers are.
On a totally superficial note - I totally want a giant cardboard cut out of Adam wearing wings and those glorious boots. That. Was. Amazing. (-ly hot)
