So, what now?
Has everyone read Ausiello's interview with the Palladino's over on TvGuide? I just finished, and I'm not sure
Of course, Amy and Dan made it seem like they didn't make it all about money. I mean, of course they would do that. And if it truly wasn't then...okay. But I'm not sure if I trust that.
The one thing I do know is that I was entertained just by reading the interview. Amy and Dan are very entertaining and articulate even in a non-scripted conversation. So..yeah. That made me miss them already, because they have such a way with words. And I feel bad for this new guy, because he has such big shoes to fill, and really..who wants that job? It's like being the opening band for U2: Everyone is just there to see the real thing. The truth is, they could get the most talented writers on TV today to write for Gilmore Girls, and it still wouldn't sound like Amy and Dan. Also, they might have been full of shit when they said they had a plan, but I'd like to know where they were going in season 7. Even if they had just disclosed it in the interview.
Meh. Regardless of the suckiness of season 6, regardless of the immense hubris Amy and Dan have, regardless of the behind-the-scenes of the show, I am really going to miss them next year. Good luck, Mr. Rosenthal.
(Oh yeah--I did like that Dan said he would be watching. I wonder if he actually will...)
