Always expect the unexpected. For a few summers, and moving into my first winter, I have walked by Chateau Laurier almost daily and had no idea that they served high tea. Not that it is something I would have jumped at the chance for before, but it is an interesting experience nonetheless. Along with tea, you get an etagere filled with lil bite sized sandwiches with things like chevre and figs, and desserts. There was also an appetizer and a cheese plate, but they were nothing to write home about, I'd rather eat an appple with some old cheddar, mmMm, wholesome goodness. It was a great day to be inside people watching, there were loads of people filling the background of Christmas lights, and a "magical" piano belting out the tunes.
