My shift last night at the bar turned out to be really good, work was the same but I was working with another bartender I hadn't worked with in a while, and we've both been there for years so are pretty much on the same wavelength.
We get along really well and we both have a kind of, I guess symmetry if you could call it that. We're both very considerate of the working space we have to share and that makes all the difference.
It seems whenever I consider quitting, I have a really good shift that makes me think "ahh yes, I think bar work is still fun".
It's still early in the year, and while I keep saying I'd like to stay til November, which would make it 7 years, we still have to get through winter, and there is nothing worse than having to get out of bed at 9:30pm at night to go work in a bar.
