Nostalgia, again.

I blame it on my approaching birthday.

After watching old cartoons, I found myself rereading old favorites. The books I read so many time that I have the best parts memorized. I don't feel like posting a list right now, but I might later. Just for the fun of comparing old loves with others.

I've also been wondering, after the excitement at the MTV award show, about music videos. Are they coming back again? I remember slowly avoiding MTV and VH1 as they slowly dropped music from their schedules. There were about ten years where there just weren't music videos, as far as I was concerned. But now technology can support video online, but I don't really watch them, just use it as a convenient way to listen to music sometimes.

Still, even with this increased availability to watch the darn things, the videos up for MTV's award were boring. Part of it might be that I'm not a fan of the songs, but that silly Poker song was the only video that was a little eye catching. And the controversial Beyonce video was as bland as the repetitious song.

Oh dear, I meant to just say how much I loved the Duran Duran video for "Come Undone". How I would wake up early to see it played after a rap video where the dancing girls wore fur jackets in snow. And then post a link to my favorite video: Daft Punk, "Around the World". Instead I wind up whining about the kids these days and their awful pop music.

Oh well, I did blame it on my birthday.
