No, you're completely different. She doesn't think before she talks, she doesn't care and she doesn't listen to you if/when you answer. She's talking purely to hear herself. IF she follows her question with a couple of "huh?"s, then you know it's okay to proceed.

That's why I can get away with being a dick. : )

Hm I see. So basically you should ignore her, unless you hear a 'huh', in which case you should answer her. And you should never really listen to what she says anyways.

Being a dick is really the best route :D Much more fun that way.
