Ugh is it the weekend yet? Something about the first week of new routes just leaves you exhausted by the end of the week. I mean it is bad enough you're trying to learn your routes and to learn to get proficient at maneuvering and driving them, never the less knowing all of the stops, their names and precise locations and yadda yadda. Then add passengers, learning what to expect of traffic and oi it's just stressful.
So yeah feeling tired and feeling a bit rugged mentally and physically...course it doesn't help that I got my first customer complaint. Why you ask? I left a stop 30 seconds early. I shit you not...30 freaking seconds and a customer bitched about it.
Let me ask if you are wanting to get to a destination at a specific time would you not plan your schedule accordingly so that you would arrive at least five to ten minutes early so you could ensure that you would catch the bus you NEED? Who in their right freaking mind plans to be at their designated bus stop 30 seconds before it is scheduled to leave and then whines about the fact that it leaves?
Ugh...never mind working with the public has proven to show that there are a lot of whiny, irresponsible, poor planning fools out there. So now I'll be sure to make sure my clock shows 00:00 on my 85 run so my customers only excuse for missing the bus will be on their own stupidity.
One more day and then the week is done. I'll only have one JCP shift and then I'll have all Sunday to figure out something to do or allow myself the luxury of x-mas shopping and perhaps a bit of R & R. I'm actually thinking it might be fun to go to the Saturday Market to see if I can find something for the folks.
But I should crash. It is 8:30 and I've gotta have my butt up by 3am. Blargh...at least today went smoothly. Okay bed time.
