(no subject)
This has been an intense week. Between multiple meetings with TriMet, medical cards, and such on top of work and studying five to eight hours a night for my CDL permit it has made for a busy and somewhat stressful week. But all that blood, sweat and tears paid off!
I cleared my FBI background check, multiple drug tests, obtained my medical card, passed the physical inspection, got my professional references cleared (save for one which is a WIP) and managed to get my CDL permit and my Air brake and Passenger Endorsements in the span of a little over a week...which most study months in advance for!
Oh and did I mention I got the job? DUDE A TOTALLY SCORED THE JOB!!! Yep that's right! As of September 12th I will start training at TriMet to be a bus Operator! I hope that with time I will not only be able to go full time but make my way into driving the rail aka the MAX or local public train system! Not only would I not have direct contact with the public but they make bank!!! *squees*
First thing I'm doing with my paycheck is to get my radiator flushed, tires rotated and an oil change for my poor little car! And hopefully down the road I can then see about getting the dash and the radio replaced. My CD player is officially broken. It plays...but it only will plays Adelle. Why is that you might be thinking? Why because it simply refuses to spit her out so Adelle is forced to play forever until either 1) my CD players decided to arbitrarily relinquish it's hold over the CD or 2) I can afford to get a new system installed and buy another CD while I'm at it. Joy :(
So yeah...but Woot!!! I'm so happy I could jig...in fact I did at the DMV office once I was in my car and sure that I wouldn't make too much of a fool out of myself as I picked up my permit today lol.
I'm so freaking stoked!!! Seriously I get to drive, get benefits and way better pay. What's not to love...well we'll see I'm sure I'll learn soon enough *snickers* What an awesome way to start the weekend!
