(no subject)
Man today is gonna be a long day for me. I managed to pick up some decent hours for today working up in kids to get it looking pretty. Guess we've got a CEO or a district manager coming in to do a full inspection of the kids department so the upstairs manager is wanting to get it into tip top shape. So I'll be working 6am to 3pm today to help do just that.
I gotta say we've got our work cut out for us. You see Corporate sends each department a floor layout with very specific set ups that are supposed to be followed. These "Maps" not only have table layouts but what products should be where and even the order of color designated for each display.
Unfortunately the Department manager that was working their prior to the current and very new manager really didn't give a damn about following the assigned floor plan and so as one can imagine a rather nasty ball of chaos has ensued. Displays are mixed with products that should be in other displays, colors aren't coordinated and if the big wig were to come in today I doubt we would pass our inspection.
So we've got our work cut out for us and hopefully we'll make a good sized dent and get that poor department up to code...course with all the back to school shopping going on I can't help but wonder just how long our efforts will actually last. I will have to say 70% of our customers have the manners and pride of a barn yard animal and you can be working on a display folding stuff and people will walk right up start man handling the product then just throw it...even when you are not even three feet away folding stuff.
Seriously even if we get that department looking perfect I can guaranty that by the time our store closes a good deal of our work will be undone, not due to employees being lazy but thanks to customers not folding stuff back up, hanging things back on their hangers and such. It makes you wonder how some of these people keep their homes ya know? LOL
Any who at after today things will start getting busy for me personally though. Tomorrow I've got an interview at one. Man I am so nervous and excited. When I get home I'll be going over my resume and making sure everything is looking good. And then on Wednesday I'll be going through all my paperwork neurotically to ensure I've got everything for my hearing on Thursday.
You know maybe it is a good thing I had so many days off cus by the time Thursday rolls around I'm going to be one overly stressed puppy. I just hope my bankruptcy trial is smooth and painless. The lawyer seems to think so since as she put it "It's obvious you're not trying to pull a fast one and that you're struggling financially." Ugh...seriously I know she was trying to be nice and thank you for saying that I'm an honest person but man I still feel pathetic lol.
Ugh I should go pack my lunch and get to work. Oi I hope today goes quick and painlessly.
