Whats new?

i've been pretty busy lately. Classwork doesn't seem to let up, but that's alright the busier you are the faster the semester goes. Classes for the most part are going ok. Physics is killing me and i'm not sure why...i think it may have to do with the professors teaching style and me not really being able to understand him. Its alright though just have to work harder. Biochem, so far, has been ok. The professor again is one of those that doesn't really know how to teach and she's all over the place..so a majority of it is teaching yourself and group work but its not so bad so far. Lets just wait until after the test though right? My most interesting class is probably zoology. Even though the professor moves really slow and it's a lot of work..it's easy and mostly interesting. i'm kicking ass in that class right now which is good for your self esteem :) Aside from classes i've also been keeping pretty busy. I work a lot at the kennel but i have two weeks off now which is nice. It's good money for not a lot of work so i like it. I'm also going to start volunteering at a vet clinic once a week to get some practice and experience and to build up my resume some more. My vet app is in now comes the hard part....waiting for those rejection letters to come in. I'm still glad I applied this year, even though i'm almost 100% sure i won't get in, I still got my application in, expressed interest and got that pesty statistic of 85% of people who apply don't get in on their first try...so next year, after i've boosted my resume/experiences/grades etc. I'll have a better chance of getting in. it was money well spent. Also I'll know what i need to improve on for next time and where i stood this time. We'll see thogh, who knows maybe by some strange turn of luck I will get in this year..my experience is good, my grades aren't bad, my gre scores aren't bad and my references rock! that and i have the standing of my school to back me a bit...River falls has the second highest admissions rate behind madison to madison and the highest out of state admissions rate to minnesota...so we'll see :)
I've also been dogsitting for my "nephew" dogs (my friend michelle's 3 beasts) and that's been good. I've missed these monsters and it's good money. We went out last weekend to a dog event and it was alright..hot and dirty but Michelle is always good company :) I'm going to be helping her out the end of this month with a photo shoot that earned us good money last year so i'm looking forward to that :) I'm going to a wedding reception this weekend for my friend and former (freshman year) roommate Heather. I'm excited, it'll be great to see her, a bit of a drive for a day trip though (she lives near appleton) but it'll be fun nonetheless.
Mat is doing alright, he's pretty bogged down with classes and work lately too so it's a little crazy. Our place is a mess because i haven't felt like cleaning and he doesn't clean :-P but it's alright it'll be a good project for this week.
Well now that i've bored you to death, let me know what's new with you!
take care
Sara
