time for an updat
even though nothing is very new in my life right now, i'll update anyway.
So here's whats going on with:
Work:
Because all i ever do is work. It's about the same. Lots of stupid people but doesn't seem to be as many lately as there has been. I think the heat is keeping them away. It has been SO hot lately. It's brutal working. You work up a sweat just standing still...and it's so hot in the morning when we have to clean barns. Our poor animals are baking, and poor us are baking. It's also about 10 degrees warmer by us because of the new asphalt. Yuck! whens winter coming? :P
Holli and Geri came by to visit yesterday. It was nice to see them. they had to listen to me talk for 20 mins..at least I had 3 cool animals :) I also gave them a tour of the new building. I'm glad they stopped by though, it was fun seeing people i know. Aside from it being so hot though, work is fun.
Mat:
Mat came down to visit this past weekend. I had bought him tickets to the busch series nascar race that was in town (it was his Bday present) so we went to that on saturday...it was alright, i don't really like racing, but then we got rained on which was even more fun....
sunday we went to the twins/brewers game and watched the brewers get killed by Minnesota. and it was hot. And kind of boring if you aren't a twins fan, (which I am only when they aren't playing the brewers) We also went out to dinner and icecream. he left on monday because I had to go to work and so did he. It was a short visit, but nice to see him. I'm going up there in July for one of my 3 day weekends.
Friends:
Haven't really had a chance to see many people. I feel bad but it's hard for me to get motivated after work. Mostly I just want to come home and shower and veg. But i am going to try calling some people to do stuff. I want to spend some time with Holli before she leaves for Greenbay, and I want to see everyone else of course and spend time with them. Just need some motivation!
I did see Kristin and Joanna last week. We went out for a picnic downtown. It was very nice, and fun except i got burned bad and i was wearing sunscreen. Stupid cheap stuff.
Other:
Nothing else is really new in my life. My garden is growing!! I almost have a cucumber ready for picking and a lot of tomatos. My peppers will be a little longer i think. My car is driving me nuts. First my muffler went and CarX and Midas wanted $400-$500 to fix it. My grandpa got it fixed for $65 but now the door is broke again so I've got to get that fixed..again. Hopefully grandpa can fix it.
Still working on vet school app stuff. It's very hard and strenous and then i lose motivation. I've been working on my Essay and so far i think it's good. But i'll end up changing it 5 or 6 times i'm sure. I also need to study more for the GRE. My mom said she'd pay for my test and i've set a goal of july 20th as when i have to take it by (this way if i do bad I can take it again)..so i really have to study more. Blah! no fun.
