after approximately 176 hours, two hospitals, three splints, three hours of surgery, two pins in my hand, and over a hundred doses of medicine .... i'm starting to feel like myself again.
minus not being able to write, play piano, or [worst of all] drive ....
so thursday a week and a day ago i was at camp with my church youth group. at camp, the whole over 400 of us are split into teams for the week and you compete against each other in games and such. well .... thursday we were playing tug-o-war and my team put me in the front (don't ask me why- i just do as i'm told). this wasn't just any-old game of tug-o-war either. the counslers rigged it to have to ropes intersect and it was 4-way tug-o-war. well after the first tug the rope got wrapped around my hand and i heard my hand snap. well ... to make an even longer story shorter ... turned out i had to have pins put in my hand because i have multiple bones broken. i had surgery on wednesday and i'm finally feelings like myself again [sice all the drugs they put in me are finally wearing off].
thanks. i really hope it does heal soon. it's hard being a hand down. i mean... i can't even zip a zipper or put my hair up in a ponytail. oh well.
see ya monday. i'll be the one with the big white cast on her right arm.
