You know, I was talking today about having conversations with people about things that you geek out about. Shared geekery. Made me think of how effing hard it would be for me to find a guy who is actually into the same nerdy stuff as I am

Do you like Doctor Who and Star Wars? Also acceptable are Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings trilogy fans. But NOT movie-only. If you can't read a damn book, then just quit this now. Yes and yes. I've only seen the Potter movies, but I have read all the LotR books, and The Hobbit is pound for pound the best book IMHO.
Do you often quote shows like Family Guy, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, The Office, etc.? Double bonus points if you quote Douglas Adams. No double bonus points, but I quote from the first two listed.
Do you listen to bands such as The Flaming Lips, Wilco, The Autumn Defense, Supergrass, etc.? Why yes, yes I do, although I find the new Wilco sub-sub-par and long for Summerteeth days.
Do you like to have a relaxing after-show beer? Many.
Who is your favourite James Bond? You have to respect the Connery and love the Moore. If we can't watch Live and Let Die with a mutual appreciation, then the relationship is dead in the water. Sean Connery hands down. Moore is a fun campier Bond and I have a personal soft spot for View To A Kill. Christopher Walken 'nuff said.
Do you mind that the majority of people I hang around are good-looking drunk musicians? Do I qualify?
Do you mind that my collection of action figures may outweigh yours? Hmmm. Yours may very well, but I have you trumped in original Star Wars action figures I am sure.
Will you go with me to the library three-four times a week? Yes, I love to read.
Do you like to play video games? Wait, scratch that. Do you like to watch me play Final Fantasy for hours at a time? You can play too Maybe. When I'm done. Sadly, I fail this question. Never played FF, perhaps I can be converted, but I can play FIFA World Cup Soccer for days straight.
Along the gaming line, D&D players are acceptable, as long as it's not the only thing in your life. Hell, I read Dragonlance. Double bonus if you can talk Dragonlance with me. Tasslehoff Burrfoot is the shizzle dizzle.
Do you mind that the television will be completely unavailable during (a) March Madness, (b) NBA Finals, (c) Gold Cup finals, (d) World Cup finals? Of course not, my television is unavailable at those times too. Also during the European Cup, NFL playoffs and Oakland Raider games.
Do you like drive-in movies? Yes!
Do you mind sharing a bed with a stuffed koala? Believe it or not koalas are my favorite animal.
Looking forward to your Panther City return...
