So, I just read the issue 13 of Buffy S9. And in the very first page, there was something that made me do a double take. And now I'm intrigued about it, only mildly so, but yeah, still intrigued.
"Saarinen" hell dimension?!
*puts on her blue and white glasses* Saarinen is a common Finnish last name. Why on earth would they name a hell dimension by that name?! Just a coincidence? A shout-out to a friend of a writer? Somehow I doubt this has anything to do with a couple of internationally known Finnish architects or a legendary motorcycle racer...
Or, maybe it's because saari = island. Angel island, Easter island, maybe even Alcatraz island... What is it with islands in these comics? Everyone's an island?
