Tomorrow, I am going to the Big E with my roommate. For those of you NOT familiar, this is the Eastern States Exhibition, which is basically a gigantic state fair, only for, you know, a bunch of states.
While there, I will basically eat all manner of strange and unhealthy foods.
Then, on Saturday, I will be trekking to some sort of civil war reenactment with my lovely mother. I don't really understand why this is happening, but I'm for it.
Following that, there's New York Comic Con, again with my roommate. I am...more excited that I will be able to see an old friend who'd moved out to Seattle awhile back, then I am about running into any celebrities (mostly because my interest in any attending is rather minor).
Anne Rice is attending, although I'm not rather fond of her personally. Jacqueline Carey will be there, too, which is exciting because I JUST bought Kushiel's Dart (because, oddly enough, a Sherlock fic I'd read that takes place in that universe).
Adam West, Carrie Fischer, Elmo, Peter Davison, Sean Astin, Seth Green, Tom Felton, Jane Espenson, Nicholas Brendon(XANDER!), etc. People I would love to meet, but will not pay money to do so.
There are some panels I want to see, like "Setting the Score: Composing for Film & Television" and a panel with Terry Pratchett, and a Sean Astin Q+A (which I think I might only go to because someone is BOUND to mention The Hobbit, yes?), a panel for Husbands (which Kai Owen apparently REALLY wants to be in), and a Robot Chicken panel. So maybe I will go to those, if I can drag her along.
And then...THERE WILL BE FANGIRLING, because
analineblue is coming out for a long weekend.
In which we will look at books and go to IKEA, I think. IDEK. IT WILL BE AMAZING.
