I think I am done fangirling 133...coherency can now be acheived

Sep 17, 2006 09:03

Yay! I created myself a new layout...and only partially know what I am doing. I'm not real happy with the banner...maybe I am just used to coloring everything now that NOT taking the time to do that makes it look really plain and boring to me. I've made too many Banners for Furuba Tales lately that this looks just...blah. (BTW...shameless plug for the site. We are still looking for more characters AND come play Furuba Mafia...it should be starting real soon!)

Anyway, don't be surprised if it ends up colored really soon.

I did end up doing a lot of coloring yesterday anyway. Obviously I have a new icon, which I completely adore, which ironically was produced and done before I saw the final couple of lines of the latest chapter.

And if you will smile,

That

Is happiness.

Yes, mine was Peanuts inspired...along with the completely smitten look on Kyou's face.

The OTHER thing I did, which don't click if you have a slow computer as the file is fairly large...is I did color that whole picture...and created the icon from it. But I also made a wallpaper from it...with one of my favorite Furuba Quotes. I've never made one before...so...probably not that great

I need to learn to color better...and one of these days I WILL pull out photoshop and try to figure it out. I am just so used to paintshop...
I just really ALWAYS have a hard time with Tohru's hair...

Let's start with the coverpage! Am I the ONLY one that noticed Kyou's hand and what he was doing? Yes...I always look way into things...too much sometimes. Anyway...I just think it's proof that he is a red blooded teenager with horomones to match. Tohru doesn't seem to mind. XD

Alright, I am so happy with this chapter. I got to see a lot of things I didn't think she would cover before the end of the series. Kyou and Tohru back at school and their classmates reactions to their relationship. I loved how laid back Kyou was about it with everyone. I don't think their classmates were real surprised by it, especially when you go back to look at the chapters around the school play and see how their class veiws the two of them.

I really didn't think we'd get to see this kind of interaction between them, but it's exactly how I thought it would play out. Without anything holding them back, Kyou's completely free of all his 'chains' that held him back (well...that whole 'I won't forgive you ' thing might be there still but...he know's Tohru's opinion on that)Underneath all the fear, pain, and loneliness is surprisingly an extremely well adjusted young man. He's overcome more than most of the other characters and even more importantly, had more support from people who cared. His interaction with Shishou has ALWAYS been something people teased them about, something not typical in Japanese custom to completely fawn over your father (or son...in Shishou's case.) Tohru's situation was the same as when her mother was first in her heart...everything was always about how much she loved and respected her.

These two have NEVER had a problem showing affection for the person they love, but they had always had a wall between them preventing them from freely giving it to the other. Both have gotten to see a side of the other that no one else had this entire time, but without any barriers--everyone else is getting to see it too. Tohru said that everyone was surprised at how relaxed and happy Kyou was, but I imagine...he's not the only one people are surprised at.

I am wondering what Kyou's thoughts on the future are, he's obviously thinking about it now and has something in mind. I know some people (like crimsonlady) don't think they should get married right away. In most stories, I would agree with you. Most pairings I've been around, I can see the 'potential' for future...but then...I can also see this just being a first relationship and a stepping stone for their future relationships. To me...Yuki/Machi is like that. If they make it together for the long run, that's great. If not...they had something special...something they needed for that point in their life and have a great point to go from for future relationships.

Kyou and Tohru are a little different, at least to me. Kyoko was only like...16 when she married Katsuya. I'm not saying I completely agree with her getting married that early, but by the time she was Tohru's age, I bet Tohru was already walking and talking. Maybe it's just the Kyouru OTP fangirl in me talking, but they have been LIVING together for several years. Neither was looking for this to happen, it just did. It wasn't an easy road to get them here, not in the least.

When talk turned to the future and Tohru started to panic, Kyou got all serious. He's never had to think about it before because his future hadn't held any choices for him before this point. Thing is...if you go back to vol 8(?)when they first had their converation about this subject, Kyou does say that he wants to take over the dojo when he's ready...it's Tohru's future that he isn't sure that she's really sure about. When he questions her about it...she starts to cry and tell him that he's supposed to ignore it when she pretends to not worry about the future.

He knows he needs to talk to her about their future and what SHE really wants...naturally he's going to worry about where he fits into it. She chose to work after finishing school...because of her mother. Kyoko worked hard to take care of Tohru and she feels that this might 'repay' that. It isn't really what she wants to do, Kyou knows that. He wants her to do what is best for her, even if it means leaving his side to do what she needs to.

Of course I'm sure all he wants is to lock her in a room and have his way with her for the rest of his life...(or is that just what *I* want them to do...) Anyway...it's the start of summer for them right now...they have about 9 months until graduation. All either of them has wanted is to be with the other...they'll have lived together for almost three years by that time...I'd be surprised if they didn't get married right away if neither of them is going on to school.

That's just my thoughts though. I wouldn't say that often about a couple.

Moving on...

Kunimitsu is love...ahahahha...all the talk about grandkids/grandpa didn't seem to phase Kyou or Tohru much...other than Kyou's sudden 'afterthought'.

AH! Rin...so heartbreaking. She really has a LOT of demons to work through and it isn't surprising that she's not ready to forgive Akito. I don't blame her in the least. Of ANY of the Jyuunishi...she has the right to need a lot more time to heal. She's the most broken and heartbreaking of any of the cursed ones, she really is at a different point than the rest of them at the moment and has the most to work through. This is one storyline I hope Takaya plans to focus more on. Rin was a very important person to get Tohru to where she is today, weather she realizes it or not and I really hope that everyone else can give her what she needs. She's got a long path ahead of her...but it's okay for her to still be angry.

Akito...that section was pretty straight forward. She's trying so hard, which is so important. Seeing the support that Shigure is giving her, as well as her willingness to let him help her is a big step for them.

Seeing even the little ALMOST interaction between Kyou and Rin...makes me really want more. It's the one thing I think has been lacking in this series the lack of any interaction between them and something I have been wanting to play around with. I really want to see them actually TALK soon...they have so many similarities in life, which is why I think Kazuma has always had a strong focus on her when she was around.

Of course...I loved seeing the dynamics of the Kyou/Tohru/Yuki interaction now. Wow...it's so different and I completely adore it! I hope they have a lot more of it...or just more Kyou/Yuki interaction cause it's just killer hilarious. Not to mention Kyou telling Tohru she couldn't talk to Yuki anymore cause he was bad...and she starts crying. I think she's so confused about everything she doesn't know what to think.

Overall...much love to this chapter. I think we'll get a lot more answers than I expected due to the things that were brought up in this chapter. Seeing Kyou being sociable and happy is one of the best things I've seen in a long time. He's really such a sweet kid beneath all that angsty exterior, it's nice that everyone else besides Shishou and Tohru are finally getting to see it.

Other than that...I need to finish cause it took me forever to write this up...O.o

ahahahhaa
