What exactly does it mean when, even though I really like my job and consider it a valuable learning opportunity, I still want to quit?
Anyone who has a thought about global warming should read this article.
I am fairly certain that I could build a factory which would reduce the cost of honey by 70%, to use a conservative and researched figure. Unfortunately, the start up costs would be very high, and prohibitive, which means I could only do it with a reasonable and well backed up expectation that the demand for honey at the new low price would increase enough for me to recoup those costs fairly quickly. Since my factory requires no new technology, and no one has built one yet, I suspect this is not the case. I blame sugar. If I could invent a way to efficiently make ethanol out of honey though things might change... (Not only is this what I think about in my spare time, but I nearly wrote a very long post about this topic, before deciding no one would care)
These people are lobbying to get congress to pass a bill that will require them to actually read the bills they vote on. Currently no one does this, because they are too long and complicated, and this has been used to get a lot of really sneaky stuff passed that no one would ever vote for. How do people feel about those new adds on myspace that show the girls flirting with no sound? I enjoy watching them and trying to follow the conversation. It's interesting because you can't see the guy, so you have to guess what he's saying based off her reaction. They all have basically the same plot, though, so it might get old fast.
I'm going to go watch Dick Tracy.
