The Call...
Got the coolest movie. I found this independent film these total Lovecraft dorks made of the titular "The Call Of Cthulhu". It's like 45 minutes long, obviously made on a shoestring, and a silent film to boot. And it is just awesome. I thought it would just be silly and fun, but it's actually pretty cool. As much as possible they made it with old-fashioned film tricks like models and miniatures, and the end result is actually really atmospheric and cool, really captures the spirit and feel of the original. You can get it on Amazon for about 20 bucks, and I highly recommend you do so. It's not listed on Amazon's new list yet, buy it from the seller "HPLHS" - that's the guys who made it. The special features alone are worth the money, even if they didn't come with this weird, cool little movie. Pretty much a perfect Lovecraft adaptation.
Been settling in to my new job, getting the range on it, so to speak. It's startling how easy it is compared to what I used to do, so they already like my work. There just isn't much to talk about beyond that because, well, I never wanted to be one of those people who talks about work all the time. Talk about boring. On the flip side I've been writing more. I finished a cool story (I think it's cool anyway) about unicorn hunting. OSFW devotees will no doubt get to hear it on Friday night.
Next I mean to rant about the pernicious malady known as Porn Princess Syndrome. But tonight I have other shit to do.
