Some arm-twisting and leg-breaking has revealed the cause of my exploding apartment: the organization that Donnie is making uncomfortable with his arrests in his attempt to bring down a CEO.
Why did they target me? As a warning to him, because he has been involving me so heavily in his arrests, and deflecting much of the credit to me. I do not know if he truly planned this or not, but regardless, it is a most effective strategy.
